Weeding the Garden.

Every problem is an opportunity for growth. Life is a problem if we think what is taught in the school room is all we need to know. Learning should extend beyond the classroom. We must think for our self and look for facts to substantiate what we are told. We need more than blind faith in others.

Weeds grow and flourish with no assistance from the gardener. In the garden of our mind weeds can thrive if we are not aware and constantly weeding out the unwanted negative thoughts.

Plant instead seeds of love, hope, peace and contentment. They will grow and produce medicine that will cure hate and despair and calming the stress in our life. Grow strong by planting good wholesome seeds.

Focus your mind on good and feed good thoughts into your mind as everything you experience influences your mind either positively or negatively.

Distance yourself from the toxic poison, that is too plentiful, in the modern world.

In technical terms all the sensory perception you come in contact with affect the neural activity in your brain. Repeated experiences leave lasting changes in the brain. You could say repeated thoughts and actions form habits that can be beneficial or detrimental, depending on what you come in contact with.

To find happiness, peace and contentment you need to plant good seeds in the garden of your mind and repeatedly weed out weeds that are overrunning and destroying your beautiful, peaceful garden.

The underlying cause of all life’s wonders and woes, man has created or destroyed, all the joy or pain can be traced to what man has planted in his brain, the garden of his mind.

A joy to behold.

Over centuries of history man has planted mostly weeds in the garden of his mind. The seeds of ignorance, fear, greed and hate flourished. Ignorance created gods, fear created submission to shaman, witch doctors and priests that claimed they could communicate with a god or the gods. Greed, hate and ignorance flourished under these conditions till the renaissance.

These mistakes must be put behind us. We should think for ourselves not blindly believing comments from witch doctors, spin doctors, or media rubbish.

A point I made in my post ‘Elvis Lives’ shows one way to calculate the truth. Occam’s Razor is another problem solving principal that can be explained this way, ‘assume that the most straight forward or simplest explanation is the most likely to be the truth.’ I believe looking at people’s past history and their motives for making a statement helps make a correct decision on the value of their words.

The Joy of Gardening.

I intended illustrating this post with paintings but I am finding too many other priorities.

When seeds of caring love are planted in the garden of our mind and cultivated with acts of selfless kindness, we bloom like smiling flowers spreading happiness. Everyone is nourished from the harvest produced. The art of gardening is to understand you get out of a garden what you put into it. If seeds of right thoughts are planted a crop of right actions will follow.

Love shines above all.

Love shines above all.

Be aware if we feed on garbage dished up by profit driven sources. No lasting happiness is found, we grow crooked and stunted. A pure mind is fed on uplifting inspiring input that promotes wholesome thoughts, leading to good actions. You cannot paint a beautiful picture if you fill your mind with horror. Look for good examples to follow and practice drawing from life, as best you can, from good examples in the art.

The seeds are your choice.

The seeds are your choice.

The greedy are never fulfilled. To want for nothing is to have it all. The beauty is there for you to enjoy. Your possessions are your responsibilities needing care and attention. To horde possessions is not the way to happiness. Let the beauty stay free for all to enjoy draw from this example. Drawing from good examples you will benefit and your garden will be a place where the seeds of kindness flourish.

Tiny seeds of goodness.

Tiny seeds of goodness.

All gardens are beautiful, vegetables to nourish the body, flowers to bring beauty into your life; the garden of your mind is where love grows. No matter what type of garden you are working in plant only good seed. I have heard it said by many sources and in many ways, “As you sow so will you reap.” No matter what medium you use chose a good subject.

Growing better every day.

Growing better every day.

This is food for thought as our thoughts govern our whole outlook. Look for and appreciate all the free beauty nature’s garden offers. Draw from nature’s master work this is the way, we learn and become aware of how perfect the master’s art is. Every garden is nourished by mother earth. I am using the word master and mother but I am not referring to a dominant gender. The forces that control the universe are beyond our comprehension. So we have created our own ideas using our own language to explain what is beyond words.

With caring kindness good things grow.

Silence with meditation the static of your thoughts focusing on your breath. Become grounded in the peace in your mind this is where wisdom resides. Beyond the grasp of worldly things you are grounded in awareness. The calm consciousness sees clearly undisturbed by outside noise, conscious to see clearly without distraction from wanting the universe to conform to personal desires.  Everything is as it is impartially acting in accordance with the interdependent whole network of creation.

Let us do our best.

Let us do our best.

Everything is dependent on everything else and everything is in a state of change, nothing is stable. When this is understood we realize we stay in tune with this interdependent ever-changing flow, it brings peace and contentment. Pleasure and happiness are worldly things and like all else are subject to change. They cannot be held onto, like the sand in an hour-glass they slip away in time. After meditation on this we understand caring and sharing are the greatest pleasures.

Bean good.

Seeds of kindness planted and cultivate with love will yield a harvest of nourishment. Everyone benefits from a beautiful garden of love so make the effort to cultivate it, dig deep and work at it. Our body needs exercise, nourishment and rest when they are in balance it is perfect harmony. No longer a chore the exertion pumps endorphin to the brain and we are happy. A natural high induced without drugs.

Watering food for thought.

GM seeds are not planted to feed the starving but to fill greedy pockets. I hope I have planted some wholesome seeds in the garden of your mind. After many failed crops I found a good variety of seed that did not need chemical fertilizers for good results. Nature provides everything to draw from but the artist’s attitude chooses the colours.
