An Inspiring Book.

This post is from a book that impressed me. The words are exactly how I try to live. But I could never convey them as well as, the book “Blossom,” by Michelle Merrifield. The author is a beautiful lady from the Gold Coast, Queensland, which accounts for her love of surfing.  The sample below may prompt you to read to the book.

I always say that, as a teacher I am merely a messenger passing along what I have learnt from all the incredible gurus I have been blessed to work with.

Breath, bend, blossom is my humble interpretation of what they have taught me over the years and how I have come to apply lessons of yoga in my life;

Everyone can enjoy.

Everyone can enjoy.

That it starts with the breath, the life-force, the union between our individual spirits and the divine universal energy.

That our body is the temple that houses the spirit, so we bend and stretch and twist and fold to keep that temple healthy and strong;

The watchful eye in the sky keeps everyone safe.

The watchful eye in the sky keeps everyone safe.

It is only when we have trained the body, mind and soul that we can truly blossom and use the lessons of yoga to make the world a more beautiful and peaceful place.

Living meditation is about being totally president in everything I do and making it a sacred experience. When eating a meal focus on smell, flavour, texture and savour every morsel. Imagine how your life would change, if you could just be aware and present in every moment. Breathe in the sweet fresh air. Smell the perfume of flowers. Hear the birds sing. Look up to the clouds. Let go of thoughts and just breathe.

The Way to Go.

Flowing water'

Wanting respect is the ego. Earning respect is gratifying; gratitude is appreciation of all the good surrounding us. This good does not come uninvited it must be encouraged by noble effort. Everything is interrelated, every action has a like reaction. Nothing exists alone, everything is interconnected. The ego’s wanting is the cause of our discontent this causes much of our unhappiness. Everything is in the flux of change, this is a natural law. Not to be in tune with this natural flow is to fight with the inevitable. Peace and contentment cannot be found in conflict.

Sharing what I have found helpful, in my life experience and other people’s writing, I would like to pass on to others.  I have found much joy in this troubled world only because I have searched for knowledge. Ignorance is another cause of our sorrow. I have learned in life’s school of personal experience that happiness cannot be found at the expense of the world around us. Now aware that my obsessive desires for the unnecessary things brought costs I had not envisaged.  The cost of storage, maintaining and protecting those unnecessary things added to the initial cost. Extravagance by the greedy creates envy in the needy, gratifying the egos wanting causes much unhappiness.

Caring and sharing and endeavouring to overcome our faults leads to peace and contentment. The quest for peace and contentment should be our lifelong goal. Found by practicing noble ethics from all dogmas. Ethics obscured by religious hierarchies arguing about minor technicalities in their power struggle for supremacy. We must put these differences aside and get to the basic worthy points of agreement.  Equanimity is the ability to remain calm in the midst of turmoil, free from unproductive emotions. The quest to become a better person by learning our faults and trying to stop repeating them should be our reason to live. Pleasures are fleeting, joy and happiness never lasts, peace, contentment and equanimity are a more worthy and lasting goal.

Soft early morning mist.

This is my belief and I am grateful to have found much more peace and contentment following this philosophy. I may never reach my ultimate goal of perfect peace, contentment and equanimity in my life on earth.  Ironically wanting this state would cause me grief. It is a great quest that keeps me occupied and I know when I transcend this life this perfect state will be reached. Returning to the great unknown from where I came, perhaps returning home to join the vastness of infinity. At the end of my day I will be ready to rest in oblivion or paradise in the unknown.

The way to go is to keep an open mind and feed the mind on the most ethical and wholesome examples available. If you eat rubbish your physical health will suffer and you will not be able to carry out your obligations. Whatever your senses absorb will reflect in your actions. Food, entertainment and all you encounter has an effect on the development of your character. This is the law of action and reaction, force creates a like response. You reflect life as a mirror except in more depth. It is no good being superficial you cannot accept a complement when it is not directed at what you know to be truly you. Do not hide behind subterfuge or you will never know truth.

Waves like Queen 'We will rock you.'

Waves ”We will rock you.’ like Queen.

Mindful.

Some can handle the waves.

Notice some can handle these waves.

Aware, alert, focused and attentive all similar words but the word mindful fits what I am writing about. To be mindful of our thoughts and emotions and the effect they have on our wellbeing. We need to understanding how a sensory perception or a subliminal perception triggers a thought in our mind and gives rise to waves of emotion. with this understanding we pause before these waves break.

Stay safe ride the waves to the beach.

Stay safe ride the waves to the beach.

A thought has no power of its own, till the person experiencing that thought grants it the power. Discernment is needed before we act on a thought and the emotion it gave rise to. Mindful of these thoughts and emotions, pause and realize the feeling being experienced. Unmindful of strong emotional waves breaking in our mind, we are like a ship in heavy seas off a rocky shore. Aware of these emotions in our mind we have the power to steer clear of the hazards that can wreck our life.

These wawes can be handled.

These waves can be handled.

Aware that a wide range of thoughts and emotion can be prompted by our daily encounters. We are mindful of what is harmful and beneficial sensory input. What we surround ourselves with will reflect our thoughts, in a positive or negative way. Life today is full of distractions to be wary of, negative media reports and entertainment and unethical people create negative emotion. Such as impatience, anger, jealousy, hate, and other unhelpful emotional states to enter our mind. If mindful we pause and correct these negative thoughts. To be conscious of impatience and realize it is unproductive and if unmindful develops into anger. If anger is not controlled, like a fire it burns the one closest to it. Why do we upset ourselves in this way?

A fire out of control.

A fire out of control.

In heavy traffic impatience and anger often get out of control. Curtsy and consideration are The antidote. If someone lacks courtesy, anger is not the answer. Consideration is the answer. Perhaps the driver is under life threatening pressure, probably not, but to assume so is to lower our tension. Life is not always to our liking. We must be cooperative and obliging, going with life’s flow. Thoughts give rise to emotions, watchful of these thoughts and arising emotions gives us more control over events in our life.

Stopped by Bushfire.

Stopped by Bushfire.

Aware, alert and focused is not all, we need mindful as well. Aware and alert can avoid an accident but if we are not mindful of our thoughts and emotions we could react in a foolish way. By honking the horn in anger, alarming other drivers unnecessarily, or stick our arm out the window to make a rude gesture at the offending driver, thoughtless of passing vehicles. Unmindful we have lost our composure and our focus on what we are doing.  Letting the outside sensory perceptions run our mind unconsciously is to be out of control. Mindfulness is the first step in taking control of our life.

Natures restful cathedral.

Meditation helps one understand how thoughts can disturb us. In breathing meditation when we are concentrating on the breath we should not be upset by invasive thoughts, this is how we learn to let thoughts come and go while staying focused on what we are doing. We become mindful of what is important to us in the now and, unflustered, can return to our practice. This is the way to become tranquil and undisturbed by the unimportant.

reflect on a peaceul mind.

Reflect on a peaceful mind.

Where do these invasive thoughts come from? If they are prompted by a noise directly experienced that is obvious. Some time they are a mystery. In our quiet secluded well-chosen meditation sanctuary, a gentle breeze touches us softly bringing the fragrance of frangipani. Concentrating on our breath we are only subliminally aware of the breeze and the scent but a thought from the past comes into our mind. We have a lifetime of memories waiting to be aroused. Mindful of pleasant or unpleasant thoughts we stay focused not distracted in this way we learn self-control.

The frangipani sent Pauline the thought in prompted.

The frangipani scent prompted the thought of Pauline.

Impatience, anger, hate and thoughts of revenge are not going to help anyone. Instead we can feel sorry for the drivers with problems. They will have  accidents hurting their self or someone else. Actions always have consequences and thoughts come before actions. Those wild, angry, hateful thoughts and actions will one day hatch into monsters that will bite the one who gave them birth. No need to be the judge and executioner that is a thankless task.  Kind and caring thoughts and actions will enhance our life. Meditate or sit quietly and think about being aware of emotional states as they arise in the mind.  Emotional states shape our life. To be mindful and have control of our emotions will bring peace into our life.

A peck on the cheek.

A peck on the cheek.

Contentment.

All you need is love.

All you need is love.

Contentment is to have what you need and want no more. To want more than you need is greedy. A greedy person is never satisfied desiring. If that desire is satisfied the pleasure is fleeting, the happiness passes the wanting continues. A new desire becomes the goal thinking it will lead to happiness. A mirage like the end of the rainbow can never be reached.

Rainbows end.

Rainbows end.

Contentment is a balance like when Yin and Yang are in perfect balance, neither too much or too little. In time all things pass it is a fact of life all is impermanent. Understanding this reality brings equanimity. Wanting is no longer a driving force sharing becomes the priority. Sharing is the antidote to greed. Sharing creates friends and friends in turn share their surplus. So sharing ensures you against hunger, needing and wanting.

Picture of contentment, when the bull is themed.

Picture of contentment, when the bull is themed.

Contentment is the balance between deprivation and excess. Without life-sustaining necessities all living things wither and die. The world is a garden of life caring for this world garden is our reason for existence. Not to appreciate and care for our garden we could starve ourselves out of existence. There is life-sustaining necessities we should be contented with. Greedily wanting taking more than we require will only bring sorrow. A fruitful way of life entails effort, an idle life focused on self brings discontentment.

This is the idea of contentment.

This is the idea of contentment

want for nothing is to be satisfied with enough. To know when you have enough is wisdom. Ignorance, always wanting, is the stupidity of the unenlightened. There is a way to find enlightenment a path to follow that leads to contentment and wisdom. It can be followed in conjunction with other ethical beliefs without any difficulty. These steps are a self-imposed set of rules that guide one to self-improvement. No one can walk this path for you. Others may point the way but self effort must be practiced in everyday living to bring peace and contentment.

Jogyesa Temole Seoul.

Jogyesa Temple Seoul.

There are eight basic rules to follow on this path to ethical self-improvement and it is a lifelong journey. One must always be aware of the many pitfalls and diversions along the path. False trails are a part of life’s path. It is human to lose our way. No need to fret over misguided steps. Return to the true path that leads in the direction of peace and contentment. Contentment is the closest man can come to lasting happiness. Pleasures are fleeting; happiness is like snowflakes on the river, to quote Robbie Burns, Or like bubbles on the river, as in  Worlds on worlds are rolling ever.Shelly’s poem, contentment lives within you.

One needs to be aware of their thoughts, speech and actions, concentrating, mindful at all times, of their state of mind and attitude. This is not an easy formula to follow but the amount of effort will directly govern the benefits received. You may have a method you prefer to this. Though I have studied many other philosophies, beliefs and paths and found helpful ideas. I have found this a clear blueprint outlining the steps to follow that, has enhanced the quality of my life, with peace, satisfaction and contentment.

Somewhere over the rainbow.

Somewhere over the rainbow.

Flowers bring colure to our life birds bring a song. By sharing our gifts we cannot go wrong.

I would like to share this philosophy. Caring and sharing is philanthropy.

Giving brings joy it is a win-win situation. Sharing good fortune is a pleasant sensation.

Wanting, cling and hoarding too is not the decent thing to do.

Be contented with enough, give to those doing it tough.

Bring contentment free from strife. With loving thoughts fill your life.

The birds defy gravity singing for you and me.

Give your gifts as freely as a birds and you will fly these are my words.

City life.

City life.

Understanding.

Not wanting to be anywhere in a hurry.

Not wanting to be anywhere in a hurry.

Intent on completing an activity to get to the next experience, what you are engaged in becomes a bother. The modern utilitarian attitude disregards the pleasurable aspects of every day activity. On a journey the destination is focused on. Speeding along the highway the scenery flashes by in a blur. The danger on today’s roads is greater than from venomous snakes and spiders. People fear nature’s creatures because they spend little time with nature. Their time is consumed working to buy fast cars, power tools and home appliances to save time.

Their is no danger if the spider and I have no fear.

Their is no danger if the spider and I have no fear.

The full enjoyment of walking is missed when the object, is only, to get physically fit or hurrying to the walks end. Walking can be an all round benefit to the health of body and mind, with awareness. When walking be aware of your thoughts and surroundings, be alive to nature. You experience the scent on the air, the sights and sounds unimpaired by wanting some future experience. It is nice to earth-out, barefoot on a beach or walk on wet grass in in the morning sun.

The sand the sky the ocean and me.

The sand the sky the ocean and me.

Intent only on completing an activity to get to the next experience you loose interest in what you are engaged in and you miss the essence of now. It is a bad habit wanting something else, not giving our attention to what we are engaged in. Paying attention, interested and taking a pride in our activity gives joy and satisfaction. Few mistakes are made when focused on doing a job properly. To do a thing properly without error saves precious time and gives satisfaction.

Full concentration in the now.

Full concentration in the now.

Affluent countries are spoilt and miss the simple joys in life. I have noticed people not so well off still relaxed and smiling, while people with all life’s needs appear tense and serious. The wealthy have too many choices; this makes decisions perplexing and stressful. The enormous amount of tempting things advertised, we are told buy now pay later, this offer will not last, and all the psychological tricks to get us to buy what we frequently do not need and often cannot afford. This fuels people’s greed and keeps them enslaved in the race of the humans. The focus should be on humanitarian ideals not on a race to acquire.

To want for nothing is to have it all.

To want for nothing is to have it all.

How can we fix the problems in the environment, when we are the problem? Nothing is made to last and things can no longer be repaired. Cars were once made to last and could be repaired, electric toasters, jugs and stove elements could be easily replaced. Machinery today needs special tools to dismantle them some are sealed so they cannot be fixed. Commerce is focused on profit not the environment. Where are our priorities? We are making work for ourselves by making things that do not last. Our politicians are concerned in creating employment keeping the production at a peak. To counter this only buy what is necessary, do not be wasteful. Buying and investing discriminately is everyone’s responsibility.

Friends are their only riches.

No sandy beach, friends are their only riches.

Finding pleasure in natures free gifts needs no special equipment. Appreciating and understanding are the best things in life. Things made by hand are crafts and there is pleasure in working with our hands. If time is money, as people say, a dish-washing machine does not save time. There is the cost of the machine and the power it uses and in time it needs replacing. The same applies to most labor saving machines. Work can be a pleasure or drudgery depending on your state of mind. It is subject to our attitude, I like to work with my hands and take pride in doing my best. I do not play golf; it would be hard work for me. Considering the cost of the equipment and land producing only grass seems a waste. I would have to change my attitude to become a golfer.

This is Bangkok's way of sweeping the street.

This is Bangkok’s way of sweeping the street.

Ignorance is not realizing that craving is the cause of` many of our problems. The purpose of our life, and our life long goal, surely is to improve our understanding and correct our failings. Contributing to the wellbeing of all is the right way to live.  Love life and life will respond with rewards. It is good to calm down, think and change our outlook this will change our life for the better.

Not just another brick in the wall.

Not just another brick in the wall.

No worries.

Have they got it all.

Have they got it all?

All my personal problems, on reflection, were mostly of my own making. All I wanted was to be carefree, happy and not create discord and difficulty. In my ignorance I made a determined effort to achieve my desired goals. In hindsight my wanting caused pain and suffering to others as well as myself. The trouble I caused was not a deliberate wish; it was a product of my lack of understanding. Blind to the feelings of others my desires fueled a fire that burned all it contacted.

What else do they need?

What else do they need?

I no longer have regrets; I have learned the unsatisfactory nature of life is the causes of much suffering to the unaware. The young and inexperienced cannot be condemned for their misunderstanding learned from a materialistic social system. We are fed on the misguided belief that acquiring possessions brings happiness. Nurtured on greed and fear one strives for security, not realizing that fear and greed are poison to peace in our world.

It is a rat rce down there.

It is a rat race down there.

When helpful truths are learned, from worthy role models and life experiences, we realize wanting and struggling for material things does not bring lasting happiness. In time all things lose their sparkle and shine and the pleasure soon fades. The novelty of succeed does not stop the wanting urge. Wanting to fill our emptiness we keep striving on the endless tread mill, called desire. Wanting, grasping and clinging to things we desire and trying to avoiding what we do not want, we are never at peace. Out of misplaced zeal we strive for what we want and are unmindful of others needs, this behavior can kill love. Destroying our happiness, joy and contentment, the very things we value most. This is how ignorance leads us to fall into life’s traps and pitfalls.

With the right attitude it is beautifull.

With the right attitude it is beautiful.

We should not grieve over past mistakes, learn from the experience. Do not fear the future enjoy each day, tomorrow we have no control over. The most important time is now, the most important person is the one you are with now, and the most important thing you can do is what you are doing now. Try to live in a modest, uncomplicated way. Taking only what you need, all the really essential things, in life are available if we live in a kindly, sharing and caring way. You cannot change the world you can only live in harmony with the world.

This is the heigh position in Sydney.

This is the highest position in Sydney.

Never let fear, greed or hate influence you or led you into being afraid of unproven threats. Kindness and understanding are the way to peace, force encourages the opposite reaction. Selfish hording and greed breeds discontent. Lacking understanding of others needs, affluent people flaunt their greedy way of life. Television reaches the eyes of the poor and hungry also the uneducated and gullible who are then ready to be led by unscrupulous, opportunist leaders.

Back down to earth.

Back down to earth.

I am not saying life is not good, when I say life has an unsatisfactory nature and this is the cause of much suffering. I am saying it is a universal truth that in time all things change and to understand that grasping and clinging to anything is inviting sorrow. As all things are subject to change like water they will run through your fingers. You are left empty and cry out why is this happening to me?  It is not personal, it is just the way things are, it happens to everyone. When we have right understanding of the true nature of things we can face life with a balanced outlook.

Let's keep it simlpe

Let’s keep it simple

We still work for worthwhile goals but without the urgency, the frenzy or obsession. We enjoy our work if we chose an occupation that will be a benefit to all. Doing a useful job we can take a pride in, it could be cleaning windows, if we have the right attitude it is a wonderful job, for a time I worked at it, out in the fresh air, good exercise, a healthy job, no worries just learn all the tricks of the trade to make those windows perfect. I gave those office workers stationed at their desks a clear view of the outside world. I also enjoyed unobstructed views of the beautiful city of Sydney. We all need a clear view, good attitude and no worries.

That's all we want.

That’s all we want.

Santa living dangourisly.

Christmas is a time to be mindful; it is a special time and viewed in many different ways. The one thing most people do generally find is that Christmas is a busy time. You may assume because it is a holiday time people will be laidback and relaxed. If you are observant and aware of what is going on around you, you will see lots of people busily intent on their own special interest. Some are hyped up, happy and carefree. Others will be intent in meeting obligations actively engaged and maybe stressed-out.

Decorations.

Decorations.

All the celebrations, decorations and excitement at Christmas are wonderful for everyone to enjoy. As long as we can stay mindful that Christmas is celebrating Christ’s birthday. Regardless of religious ideas, it is irrelevant, whether Jesus is the son of God or not. What is relevant and really matters is respect, to show respect and enjoy Christmas in a sensible way. If you want respect you must show respect. Christmas can be a looked upon as an opportunity to spread peace in a troubled world.

No monkey buisness.

No monkey business.

Be mindful of others as well yourself. Getting carried away in joyous Christmas party celebration then drive on the busy roads, could also get you carried away in an ambulance. Stay mindful, it is so easy to become absorbed in all the excitement at Christmas. Everyone can enjoy this special time of year if they stay aware and celebrate in a mindful, moderate, manner, making Christmas a joyous time for everyone.

This is a time to renew old friendships, forget old disputes and remember it is the thought that counts, if a smile is all you have to give don’t let your ego hold you back, give that smile and it will be appreciated by all those that matter. Children are wonderful; all they want at Christmas is love and attention. Time spent playing with children is a win, win situation.

What I believe is whatever will help me live in harmony with my environment especially my fellow-man. Regardless of our differences I see every one as my brother, so to speak, as we all bleed the same colour. There is no One God, there are many gods and, ironically, every one of the many gods, is the One God to those that believe in that god. That is the One God, the supreme One God out of the many gods.

Gnashi one of many Hindu gods.

Ganesa one of many Hindu gods.

All these gods are different and they take many forms often this form resembles the appearance of the believer. The Hindu God Brahman takes may forms the most incredible is Ganesa having a man’s body and an elephant’s head, as outlandish as Ganesa and countless other gods. Within the different branches of Hinduism their myths do contain wisdom and good ethics. People may find it impossible to accept these gods as anything but ridiculous. Conversely they may think other people’s gods and your God is stupid. If you are offended by someone ridiculing your God, realize others will likewise be offended if you make fun of their God. Respect is a reciprocal thing if you want respect show others respect.

The surpreme as a young cow herder.

The Surpreme Hindu God, as a young cow herder.

God could also be thought of as a force or an indefinable power. As Ob Ben Kenobi, in the movie “Star Wars”, said “May the Force be with you”, and Lao Tzu said “The Tao that can be described is not the real Tao. Both are forces that permeate everything in the cosmos. Could Mother Nature and her complex laws, that keep everything in the universe in equilibrium be the answer? Nature is beyond mans capacity to understand. Consequently all mans endeavors to change nature to his desires has had adverse repercussions.

Another fan of Buddah.

Another fan of Buddha.

Mother Nature a matriarchal yin idea as opposed to a patriarchal yang idea appears logical to me. The Taoist ideas of the complementary forces of yin and yang are present in all things. They are opposing, yet one cannot exist without the other. I do not want to enter into any debate on Gods or creation. History shows that this leads to bad feelings that can escalate into war. Religious crusades are often used as an excuse to plunder. Religion can also be used as a political tool.

Reclining Buddha.

Reclining Buddha,Wat Poe Bangkok.

The Buddha Shakyamuni was a peaceful man and never entered into the God debate. His goal in life was to find a means to eradicate pain and suffering in the world. I practice some of the teachings attributed to him, as I have found them effective in helping me to attain peace and contentment. The teachings of The Buddha gave us a practical approach to a lifelong endeavor of self-improvement. He taught understanding, selflessness, respect, kindness, positive attitude and reciprocity. Steps for practicing The Buddha’s Eight Fold Path, are, not necessarily in this order, Right Understanding, Right Thoughts, Right Speech, Right Actions, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right concentration. The way to improve our concentration is to control the agitated thoughts in the mind by meditation.

A Buddhas for the children.

A Buddha for the children.

The Buddha taught not only love, but love needs to come from a serene and focus mind. This kind of love is actually empathy. Jesus Christ advocated selfless love, even to an enemy. He never campaigned for war; he knew love is the greatest conqueror. Love is the antidote to hate.

A beautiful country church.

There have been many wise sages throughout history, if part of their philosophy or belief does not make sense, do not reject what does. All helpful statements should not be ignored. Friends often over look our faults, our adversaries criticize, and this is good how else are we to know what our faults are.   Keeping an open mind is the best way to learn. There are many paths to the top of a mountain, you will find they have one thing in common; they are all uphill none are easy.

Love & respect are beautiful to all people.

Bark of a tree you must see, the bark of a dog is hard to miss.

Inexplicable.

Oo! oh! ahh! the singing Boab.

To believe in the inexplicable, what came first the chicken or the egg? What is the sound of one hand clapping? Where does the flame go when the candle is blown out? The inexplicable is to know the way; those that do not practice the way are lost and ask, “What is the way?” We all know the way but few walk it. To be conscious is the way; life is the truth of the way. You are free to go your own way.

Flowering the Banksia sings of beauty later it’s a party song.

The way that can be said is not the true way. Seek and you will find your way. No one can tell you, you must experience it. The truth is on the breeze, in the fragrant scent of blossom, the song of a bird. A flower can tell you more than words about beauty. Words are counterfeit coin compared to the golden treasures of nature.

Time softens then obliterates mans marks.

When you understand, life becomes a celebration, your encounters with it a joy. You eat to live you do not live to eat; food becomes a great experience for all your senses. The wind in the trees sings, the sounds of water are a symphony and the birds songs are music. Clouds, rocks and mountains are artistic sculptures, the bark of trees the patterns on leaves and all the many marks on ageing things are nature’s abstract art. Nature has led the way inspiring all mans art and inventions.

Alone enjoying one of natures free gifts.

It is unimportant whether the chicken or egg came first. Explanations for irrelevant questions that have nothing to do with our happiness and contentment are useless. What is important is our attitude to life and the understanding that the best things in life have no dollar value, they are priceless. To thirst for pleasures like a child with an inflated coloured balloon is to play with sorrow.

Camera or paint brush is only a visual copy.

To drink natures cleansing pure water and know your needs are not fizzy drinks of desire. To eat natures foods and not make your stomach a grave yard for dead animal bodies. To live in peace and harmony, caring and loving all, is the way. We do know the way but do not practice it? Not to appreciate the wondrous gifts spread in our path is to insult whoever or whatever you believe to be the all powerful provider. We will not be punished for this insult but if the laws of nature are unbalanced we will automatically suffer.

Thankful for another sunrise.

Life can be a wonderful journey for the person who knows the true nature of things. The one that appreciates and practices caring and sharing will find joy and contentment; giving and forgiving are the way to live. Love and understanding are necessary to find peace in our life. No one can do this for you; you must practice and observe these things as you make your own way in life.

Every thing is beautiful to the mindful.

Travel light, gather wisdom it is not a heavy burden, meander quietly, savour all and spread joy and kindness and you will enjoy your journey.

To a follower who is experiencing a time when the Dynamic Lifter has hit the air conditioning. Dynamic Lifter is the trade name for chicken manure, I am tempted to use a shorter word but four letter words have lost all their shock value they are too often used offhandedly and inappropriately, consequently they do not grab anyone’s attention anymore. We all experience these times in life when we feel totally over whelmed and cannot see how we are ever going to survive. We feel like breaking down and weeping, this may help but it is not a lasting fix.

Would flowers help.

Ask anyone who has lost a loved one, perhaps a child, a mother, a husband or wife. When someone dies that has seen them at their best and their worst and still supported and loved them. They can tell you what helped them survive their crisis but only time will heal.

A Galha cannot talk it only mimic our speach

Nothing any one can say will fix your situation; it is your problem, what saw them through may or may not work for you. Letting you know they care, their compassion and love is of real value. Their advice, though well meaning, may or may not work for you. Words are like water on a ducks back, it runs off with little effect. To realize these people do care is comforting.

Yes Banksia flowers are nice.

Time seems to pass slowly but time never stops and in time all things are subject to change, this is an undeniable fact. Only time will heal your wounds, the scars will remain, to remind us that we survived by our own strength. You are then aware of the strength within you that can then be drawn on in times of disaster.

These pots suvived heat of the kiln turned them into solid useful pottery.

When you have been dealt a bad hand can you bluff it out and win? A load of Dynamic Lifter has been dumped on your garden; can you do the work needed to use it to make your garden grow again? The excreta has hit the fan you cannot run for cover, are you going to be a survivor or are you going to drowned in your own tears?

Banksias survive without fertiliser.

I believe you are strong you have a worthwhile goal in life. You may feel the pressure and shed a tear drop and ask for help but you know it is up to you and you will not give in, you have too much to offer, to give in is absurd. You just have not realized how strong you are; when this has passed you will know the truth of the strength within you.

From the mud the Water Lily opens to the light.
