You are the one accountable.
I count: I count my blessings and I am accountable.
My cups full and running over. I am aware of all the good things in my life. All the free gifts bestowed on me by Mother Nature. Life is full of joy. What do I need, I all I need is the air I breath, food and shelter from the elements. I want for nothing, therefore I have it all.
The sun is shining the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming and the bees are buzzing. I don’t think of money, we all have this honey. If you’ve got your health it is the greatest wealth.
If you are challenged and the sun is not shining and raindrops are falling on your head. Look around and see there are worse off than you. That is when you count what you have. Not what you want.
To want is to invite trouble. If you get what you want the pleasure soon passes. Everything is changing, rearranging, growing old, wearing out. Nothing remains the same.
The beauty of life is, everything is passing. All we have is the now. This moment in time to make count. Be mindful of now, the most important thing is what you are involved in now. Pay attention, the most important person is the one you are with now.
So when the storm clouds gather and life is not all good, remember the clouds will blow away revealing a sunny day. You can count on them passing.
Into our life some rain must fall. Without the rain the flowers cannot grow. we must have the down to know what’s up, We must have the right to know what’s left. Do not be distressed it does not last, all that’s now will soon be past. Don’t be sad take the good with the bad. Things are just as they are. Make your days count and it will all add up to the right change.
‘Count what you have, not what you want’…I like that! Thanks.
Pleased you took the time to let me know.
Thanks.
Well said Jack, and all in your own inimitably gentle yet profound style.
Thank you for your encouraging feedback.
What a pictorial presentation to reinforce the belief that needs to be cultivated, to count ones blessings instead of harping on deficiencies, because everyone’s deficiencies combine with blessings in the grand cosmic balance….bravo and cheers… Raj.
Thank you Raj it is so nice to know you understand and agree.
WOW! So well expressed and so important. Thank you Jack!
Cindy I value your comments.
I would have liked to have had your photography skill,
For the photo with the bug in it, he was so beautiful but I could not do him justice.
It was breezy and he was on a mission.
You do yourself justice Jack, by posting. We need your hard won wisdom.
I try, Jack. Sometimes not hard enough.
I don’t know what you are on about.
“Try even if you fail but never fail to try.”
You do try, and going by your blog you are a winner.
Sometimes we can try too hard Jo.
There are other saying, “you can’t win them all”, “All things in moderation.” and “Go with the flow,” enjoy.
Jo I thought I replied to this but WordPress comments is not responding as it should.
Your effort is very good going by your posts.
Great post, Jack. 🙂
beautiful Jack –
you are a wise poet – a wise and loved old poet – wait, a wise, loved, old, and healthy-joyful blogging poet… 🙂 ha!
my favorite was this:
I don’t think of money,
we all have this, honey.
If you’ve got your health
it is the greatest wealth.
but all flowed so nice with your pics 🙂
I am lucky and the more effort I put into it the luckier I get. Your encouraging comment is proof of this.😅
and u are on every humble man – 🙂 ❤
good day sir
Jack…. again your voice is reminding us all what the more important things in life are.. Loved your poetic verse.. And if we all lived our lives as you do my friend then all our lives would ‘count’ in helping create a world we all would be happier living in..
The problem is most do not think they do count!.. and end up living other people’s Drama’s.. If we embraced life, love and living in the ways you do, How much brighter all our days would be filled..
Your energy and vibrancy fills me to overflowing upon each of my visits.. I just re-read the last two posts of yours and enjoyed each word all over again.. 🙂
Have a great rest of the week Jack.. _/\_ Sue
This is so nice to hear Sue and I thank you for letting me know how you feel.
I do try to set an example but but I have found the way I live is benefiting me.
We just do not need all these luxuries
So very true…. the older I get the more contented I am with less.. _/\_
So true
