Finding your way.
I made a little pathway, out of old recycled bricks, into the garden and built a little hideaway there out of materials from the tip, sheltered seat behind the shrubs and plants. Pauline painted a boarded with folk art pictures of flowers and the words “stop and rest and let the world catch up.”
It is our secluded place to hide away from the busy world, to be still and observe nature with all our senses. To study the plants, observe the small creatures and the details that busy people have no time to notice.
A place to be still for a few moments till a hush descends upon us that fills all our being and leaves us calm and relaxed. There is nowhere to rush, we have arrived. To that place where there is no judgement, no good or bad, things are just as they are.
Everything then comes together we are one with the Almighty that controls the universe. Everything is then one deep connection, there is no them and us we are one. We are then embraced in life, in appreciation of creation and harmony in the flow of nature.
Quiet places are needed to still and calm the turbulent waters flooding our mind, an undisturbed hide away to control the wild thoughts that dampen joy. To quench the thirst of wanting and find calm and contentment.
There are many paths to a tranquil place where peace and contentment can be found, not all made of demolition bricks. Your path may be different to mine. As long as it has a sound base made with love in your heart it will serve you well. And your destination will be a place of joy.
Do not stray from your righteous path, walk it mindfully. A path must be walked in steady steps to reach the destination; there are no free rides in this world. There are only free gifts from nature but you will not experience them if you are in a hurry. Slow down enough to let the world catch up to you.
Oh Jack, I just love your ‘Hideaway’, and think your garden looks fantastic. The hideaway corner seat is just ideal to meditate and let the mind slow down as it absorbs all of natures gifts in front of your eyes.. You have both created a wonderful sacred space to retreat into and relax.. Pauline’s art work sets it off as do the collection of your blue’s ornaments.. 🙂 A delightful share Jack.. Thank you _/\_

Pauline was into the folk art at the time I built the hideaway.
The other structures suport columns have thunder eggs, petrified wood and lots of stones I cut but never polished.
Like you and your husband we have surrounded ourselves with natural beauty.
I value our your blog and comments and our friendship.
Friends spreading good around the world. _ /\_
Likewise Jack.. you have your hideaway, we have our double swing seat we swing on while we watch the birds feed and the fish swim in our small pond.. _/\_ Here’s to friendships
What a beautiful garden!
I love your hideaway Jack! I am going to use your idea and make a secret place like this in my garden. Love it!
That is a nice comment, letting me know your plane.
I would like to see it when it is finished._/\_
I know well why you like to travel. I also know well why you like to come home! Home is where the ❤ is~
it’s so important to have a quiet space immersed in nature.. just viewing the images gives me a sense of peace, as i imagine both of you there tending your garden of eden. z
Smiles.. I had not missed as many posts of yours as I thought.. 🙂 Sending you a thought and hope you get to sit more often in your own Hideaway Jack.. though I doubt you ever hide— away! 🙂 Blessings _/\_ Sue
As you know there is too much to appreciate to hide away.
Still make sure you rest even if your mind is active you can relax.
When you are doing you can still be relaxer in what you are doing.
Fully absorbed in the now.
Still a balance is needed and one can actually hide away any time any place.
Love life and it responds as every thing does with love balanced by wisdom.
I write this Sue because you understand perhaps more than I do.
The Way of the Force and the value of the Path. _/\_.
I do Jack.. and I am now more comfy in my skin than ever I have been.. And I am enjoying finding the Balance and Life is reflecting back as I am absorbing each moment with renewed eyes and joy 🙂
